- Is your child getting lower grades than usual?
- Is her attitude towards studying becoming more casual?

| Set up a discussion with your child’s teacher about his or her academic performance and contribution in the classroom. Teachers are acutely aware of how each child behaves in their class. They track differences in homework quality, timely submissions, school project submissions, and other assignments or tasks. A detailed conversation with the school teacher can offer you some pointers about your child’s performance. The discussion will also help you identify the sources of your child’s difficulties and possible reasons for his or her lower performance. |
| Obtain Help Right Away |
You may find that your child isn’t able to comprehend specific topics because they are inherently difficult topics. Talk to your child. Would getting extra help from the class teacher make a difference (assuming the teacher has the time)? Could a student counselor provide sufficient help?
