Don’t think about your age. Pick up an English book as per your reading level whether you have to start from picture books or short chapter books. Visit a library and pick up lots of books. | Read English Newspaper |
| Read English paper every day. Either you subscribe to the local paper or pick up a free newspaper from a train station, but read a paper. It will not only keep you abreast of the daily happening around you, but it will also enable you to discuss this with your friends or co-workers in English! |

| Think in English |
| Try to start thinking in English. If you are an ESL (English as a Second Language) student, you most likely think in your native mother tongue. It is very natural and it is very difficult to break this habit. But try to consciously think in English. If you are driving and frustrated with the traffic, think about it in English. If you are in shop and think everything is too expensive, think this in English. Practice thinking in your mind, but only in English! |
