Answer : the basic equation to use is: dist = speed x time or time = dist/speed we need to find out the time that Jane travels we can do this by noting that the time Jim travels is: time = dist/speed = X/Y so for Jane, her time of travel is X/Y and her speed is Z, so for Jane: dist = speed x time = Z x X/Y or XZ/Y
